What I Learned Today

Everybody knows what we need when we are in a strange place. Or if we are going to a place we have not been to before.

A MAP.

Yes, a map. Of course, we can also ask for directions, but some of us are too shy to speak to strangers. Plus, we cannot always trust strangers. ^_^

The world we live in is a big unknown place to all of us. I’m not talking about names of streets or cities. I’m talking about the right way to go so we can spend eternity with God.

All of us are going to a place we have not been before. We have to make decisions every now and then. Face demands and dangers. How do we know what choices are best for us? Is there a map that can serve as our guidance as we go along this road (journey) called life?

“You do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” (James 4:14).

The good news is, there is such a map.

The BIBLE.

More good news:It is translated in different languages. It is available in bookstores. Some congregations even give it for free.
We should be glad that God loves us so much that He won’t allow us to get lost in this world.

“The holy Scriptures…are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
